The cynical bastard in me thinks there were probably bigger issues in Philadelphia to take care of.

The rest of me is glad to see people doing the right thing when the situation presents itself.

A historical account of the day Babe Ruth played a charity ball game in Kensington, after having already played a full game in Shibe park.

The story paints a totally different picture of the man from the boozing, womanizing nasty person that we’ve sen in so many other media outlets.

And it’s nice to know this city’s been baseball-crazy for that long.

It’s been a good day to update the Daily Comic List. Sinfest is back, Todd and Penguin is back, El Goonish Shive is close enough to back on schedule to be considered “back”, Absurd Notions/Why The Long Face says it’s back (but no update schedule yet), I added Healing Hands and Phables (which is about Philadelphia) and corrected the link for I am a rocket builder.

In fact, whereas my last four or five updates to the page had been to move comics into the “not updating” pile, I only had to move one comic (Dirty Blonde) to deep freeze this round - otherwise, I spent the morning taking comics out to thaw. Nice.
